Bought to fix a pair of studio monitors. The capacitors were worn out and had to be replaced. I tried using a regular soldering iron and desoldering tape and a blower with suction but they didn't work because the solder cured faster than I could suction it. I saw this vacuum disassembly pump with heater and hoped it would work. I wasn't disappointed, it works great! Tips: First apply some solder paste or rosin to the solder you want to remove. Bleed the pump before heating so that it will be ready for use after the solder has melted. When using it in your fist, hold it with your thumb on the release button and make sure the tip is flush with the circuit board surface so you get maximum suction when you press the button. Multiple times may be required for particularly complex solders. connections, but it definitely works better than all the tools and methods I've tried on PCBs.
