Review on ๐Ÿ” CSI DVD Game by Parker Brothers by Patrick Cooney

Actually not that good.

The game instructions are pretty vague. Things they don't tell you: 1. Anyone can see your clues and investigations, especially if you're playing in multiplayer or on the big screen. (You might also not want to play with multiple players because the game seems very long.) You need to get up and face the TV if you really want to "win" or keep your investigation private, so if you don't care, you should just play in single investigator mode, it's even more fun. If you do it this way, other people might miss some clues as well. So you kind of have to share, it's confusing what to share and what not. 2. The time frame is looking for a kill, this is NOT the time of the kill but the actual time of death, it's not clear in the instructions. . The game is actually a story and most of the evidence is circumstantial at best, you pick the most likely candidate, but the evidence and clues are sometimes not enough to really "convict". Additionally, after gathering all the evidence, if you pick the wrong time or reason for arresting a suspect, it will say "insufficient evidence" when it should say "WRONG RATE" because we had all the evidence, it said only. not us. My family plays a lot of games, it was annoying at first and you actually only watch a few stories, when you watch stories like you would on a TV show you can usually figure things out. There are quite a few cards to look at, but you don't need to make comparisons or take notes if you're paying attention. It's ok, not great, but for under $10 go for it, it's a great way to kill a few hours and get a csi fix.
