Review on Electric scooter Ninebot Kickscooter ES2, up to 100 kg, dark gray by Dagmara Goljat ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The right product for me, there were no problems.

Well, kaef in general! Skating brings very positive emotions. The feeling of mobility and speed make it possible to build routes that were previously impossible (most importantly, plan for battery backup). Not without errors, but perhaps this scooter is the best choice with a budget of up to 30, or even 40 thousand. At 75 kilograms (my weight with a backpack), the range in medium (white S) mode was 16 kilometers with the lights on. But maybe more, I think, because. it was still cold. On the vegetable mode (up to 15 km / h speed, low power) - I think I would drive 20 kilometers. The red S mode (up to 25 km/h on ES2, up to 30 on ES4) makes sense to turn on only on straight sections with good coverage. Now ES1,2 and 4 are no longer produced. They were replaced by a new generation of e22 / e25. They do not have a rear shock absorber and are slightly different tires (type with cavities inside for shock absorption). I haven’t ridden the e-series, but I like the shock absorber on the ES, it turns out quite soft. The main thing is to wash and lubricate it if it starts to creak. Karochi, if you have ~26k and you want an electric scooter, take it!) You can ride everything and then sell it, almost without losing in price.

Pros
  • Well made, feels solid, but you have to be prepared to tighten the bolts where the stem (pipe) attaches to the folding mechanism. Helps tighten bolts by applying blue threadlocker (not red!). The scooter really helps to move very mobilely in the city (Hong Kong) at distances of ~ 5 km several times during the day. Pulls confidently. The average mode is quite enough, especially if you help a couple of times with your foot when driving uphill. In general, if you sometimes help with your foot, you will save a lot of charge. In the metro / Hong Kong Central Circle, it is convenient and quickly you get used to it, you don’t even really bother anyone. If necessary, it is possible to transfer it, but not for a very long time - the hand gets tired. But on the 5th floor the stairs are normal. Very easy and nice to put together. Convenient and high quality application. Awesome active community in tenge for 3000 people with a knowledge base. There are a lot of masters and knowledgeable people, the scooter can be repaired, maintained or slightly improved with high quality and relatively inexpensively. For example, by replacing the regular rubber bands in the folding mechanism, which some fall out or wear out, with ones printed from oak polyurethane. They also print bushings, mudguards, etc. - LED backlight deck with different flickering modes, controlled via the application. Some may like it, in theory it increases your visibility on the road at night. I played once. I don't, but why not?
Cons
  • - Still, over time, it requires maintenance and there are congenital sores. Fortunately, the knowledge base is extensive, and there are enough masters. Some melt wires in the steering column, tk. they are just crimped with chips, and not soldered. Feel sorry for the solder? In general, electrical problems can come out over time (closer to a thousand miles, or even earlier). The wires are thin. -The tire is being erased, like the back one fits and you can swap them for the first time, but it’s better to order and replace, of course. -By default, everything liquid flies from under the rear wheel. The solution is to buy a 3D printed mudguard. I prefer soft rubber, you are not afraid to break on the steps. In the photo, mine cost 200. -I have an ES2 and was planning to buy an extra battery that attaches to the stem to greatly increase the range and increase the top speed to 30 (=make an ES4 out of it). But they are stupidly NOT. As of April 2022, even nowhere in Hong Kong can you find new batteries for adequate money (up to 11 thousand, although a year ago they cost 7-8). On Ali comes out almost under 20k, which is almost equal to the cost of the new ES2. Does the factory not have time to produce them?
