Great lens in terms of image quality and I want to start by saying I love this lens but there are two things to note. First, my version of the lens required a lot of micro-adjustments to get it in focus, which I've read was common with this lens. If you are unfamiliar with this procedure, learn about micro adjustment and do it with this lens to get the most out of it. The lens focused nearly 2 inches from where it always should have been prior to adjustment. I photographed an entire wedding this way and was initially disappointed with the lens. I made the adjustment and since then it has been amazing, made a huge difference. This lens required more adjustments than any of my other lenses. The second issue is that the MF/AF and VC buttons are in a terrible spot and not recessed deep enough, if you're using a strap I promise you'll repeatedly accidentally toggle it to MF or turn VC off when you don't want to, and miss an accidental shot because the autofocus doesn't happen when you expect it to. Again I read that this was a problem and I can confirm that. All in all this is a wonderful lens, quick to focus, very sharp after micro adjustment and my new workhorse. As annoying as the button issue is, it's still worth saving on the Canon version of this lens. Lens, can highly recommend this lens.
