These are my favorite headphones I've ever tried. In general, the sound they have is very balanced. This means that low, middle and high tones are balanced as far as possible. You can easily find a lot of information about these headphones. They are the industry standard that I have enjoyed for over two years now. The overall design of the headphones is pretty good. Structurally they are mostly well designed. The noise insulation is mediocre. Depending on the volume, you can hear speaking through them. The sound leakage on the original pads is pretty low. People don't need to hear your music if it's loud enough. Extra long twisted pair cable with 1/4" adapter. Possibly gold connectors. Sturdy cable construction. Each cable bend is reinforced with extra rubber. The soldering to the driver also seems solid and should be able to handle most tugs "With giant coiled cords this isn't usually a problem. The coiled cord also prevents a lot of tangling! The headband is quite comfortable. You can easily find a case for it if this becomes a problem. The cup adjusters are numbered to allow for a specific adjustment Issues I've encountered over time: - The headband loses tension between the ears over time.. These earbuds don't fit my head as snugly as they used to.. - The PU leather pads need to I have attached a picture of my two torn earpads which I have replaced with "Beyerdynamic EDT250V Headphone Earpads Black", this will be corrected create subtle noise leaks. The cable connecting the drivers to the headband can get stuck in the case. (see picture) This can wear down the wire a bit. The cable is very long. This can be an issue if you intend to use these headphones for a purpose other than their intended purpose. The cable tends to be a bit heavy, which puts a strain on the connectors. I have to move it very often so that it doesn't bother me anymore. The cable can be replaced by soldering. There were projects to modify headphones with a detachable cable. Google "Sony MDR-7506 Detachable Cable Mod" which I believe will improve headphone design. Like full-size headphones, they're uncomfortable with glasses. After a few hours they become very uncomfortable. Although they come with a carrying case, even the foldable design makes them difficult to transport. This was to be expected. The foldable design does not center the cups when the length of each earcup is minimal. (See image) I don't know how this affects the durability of the headband. The blue part of the "Professional" decals on the sides are the decals. One of mine broke off. Looks similar but is beginning to fade and collect dust. (See image) Aside from a few flaws, these are still my favorite headphones. You just sound right. I was shocked when I went to the store and listened to the Bose headphones and heard how poor the quality was compared to them: $300 headphones. They are definitely worth their price. Feel free to buy them if you can ignore the issues I've had.
