Review on DEWALT 6-1/2-Inch 20V MAX Circular Saw, Tool Only - Powerful Cutting Efficiency for Versatile Applications by Tim Morrison

This is the best circular saw I have ever owned and I have had many. I've been waiting for a full size, full featured 7-1/4" side support for the right hand blade for a while. I'm a seasoned ex-carpenter and personally I've always preferred B&D saws, very similar DeWalt, Makita and better models "Skill class. I have other cordless saws of various sizes which, except for the small 12v Makita, are all link hand saws. I only find them preferred for cutting sheet metal materials. I have 2 Skil worm drives which I use a little when framing using the west coast methods.Most of my work has been done using the east coast methods and therefore uses right hand side blade winders like this.This saw has the highest speed rotation I have used and it is perfect for today's thin saw blades.This saw arrived perfectly aligned.I particularly like the instantaneous blade brake,the LED light which illuminates the cutting line very well,i.e he balance and, of course, the lack of cables. I remember many hours of disappointment fighting liners of my time. Remember a few near-accident old saws with no brakes. I wish I had had a saw like this 15-50 years ago. A note; The saw pictured does not have a rafter hook. The one I got has a great drop down rafter hook. Icing on the cake! .What a great saw!
