It'd be hard to break something unless you're basically doing it on purpose. It handles well on any surface, but the soft and squishy suspension makes it slightly more prone to flipping over when cornering if there are bumps. I got this RC with the intent of modding it to entertain my dog at the dog park. It (mostly) succeeded! First off, the controls are much better than other RC cars I've seen. The steering and accelerator have a range instead of just on/off. I love that it comes with everything you need, even batteries and spare. It is pretty much ready to use out of the box. The car runs pretty well and my husband and kids had tons of fun. The batteries do not last long, hence the spares. But be aware that replacing the batteries, requires removing screws to get them on and it takes a little while.
