100 Record Outer Sleeves Polyethylene Furniture Review

I have used the Turntable Labs outer sleeves which are more stylish, are made of a glossy transparent cellophane material, sturdy compared to the soft polyethylene of it, but they are more expensive and the sleeves are nice kept ripping at the seams when I tucked my jacket away after listening or when I was flipping through the records in my drawer. Stick with sleeves SQUARE DEAL RECORDINGS & SUPPLIES 4 mil. I was in the process of cataloging and organizing my records when I ran out of SDR sleeves. Obviously also SDR, so I tried MAX PRO. I read the one star reviews but had no problems with them. I have found that these SDRs can easily accommodate double and even a few triple LPs. Unlike the MAX PROs (which are flush cut) they are only slightly offset, making it easier to locate and separate the open end. I found they fit vinyl records well

I love these cases and if you want to store your record cases you need a case to keep them from chafing. They look a bit milky, but that's not a problem when they're upright and you're just looking at the spines anyway. They're certainly clear enough, but if you're showing covers, you might need a clearer reading. They're smooth enough to avoid sticking to the album cover, so they can be easily removed to get to the vinyl for playback. They're not too big either, so you don't have an extra half

They do their job of protecting your album covers. Some other protective bags have better transparency and look better, in addition to protecting the jackets inside, these bags get five stars. They would have gotten 5 stars if the price was significantly lower than more transparent envelopes. Fits some gatefold albums, but not all. I've been buying these Square Deal "4 mil" sockets for 5 years and each batch is the same size within a reasonable tolerance. They aren't too big and only deliver 1/8-1/4", most consistently closer to 1/8", which I like. Differences to the LP cover itself are of course inevitable.
