PROGRAMS EASY: Interior

WORKS EXCELLENT! Went to the local key store (Chevy said they no longer make keys unless bought from their parts store - the cost there is 10x that!) Programming in my 2013 Suburban LTZ was as easy as using one existing first key to turn on the car (copy from last year too) then turn it off while the dash lights are still on - maybe just 1-2 seconds after the car starts, just turn it off. THEN immediately insert the newly cut chip key and start the car. DONE. I left it for a few seconds and…

Nobody wants to cut them.

Home Depot, Lowes didn't want to cut them because they say their cars don't match other keys (believe they're just idiots for only wanting to sell their keys) I ended up at ACE Hardware , told me the same thing, but at least they gave me the opportunity to agree without being held liable for damaging the keys. In short one key was dented/damaged and the other after extreme care and key making was very slow but only one way, the doors don't matter but the ignition key only turns one way with the

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

It programs itself with a working key

This key worked great. If I knew it would work without going to a locksmith I would have Home Depot cut it out and then program it myself. If you manage to cut off your Home Depot key, take a working key and stick it in the ignition. Immediately remove the key and turn on the ignition with an unprogrammed key. At this point you can start the car with a new key. If it works and you try again and it works, you will succeed without paying a locksmith $40-$50 to program it. I was even able to…

Best decision I've made in a long time

I bought a 2011 Chevy Silverado and only got a truck key so instead of paying $30-$50 or even the ridiculous price the dealer said wanted to charge for a new key I bought 2 of these blank keys and the local key shop cut these keys with my original key that I already had. After the keys for my key were cut I looked online and figured out how to program them for my truck and it only took about 3 minutes and was very easy to do myself. The keys work great and look and function identical to my OEM…

  • This is amazing

Great key until Ace Hardware broke it. 😔

The key itself was awesome. Looks like a GM key (maybe idk) but I couldn't test it so I gave it four stars. I bought two but now I'm afraid of cutting the other one. Just so you know, auto parts stores can cut all kinds of keys if they have the equipment on site. Call and ask before going to the hardware store or a locksmith if you're concerned about this. None of mine did. Lowes and Home Depot refused to cut it, so I went to Ace. Ace's guy broke it but gave me one to use to open the car door…

Pros
  • Few competitors

  • Slightly torn

Didn't need a working key to program

My daughter lost the only working key for her 2008 Chevy Impala. After almost 3 weeks we realized that the key may never be found. I googled how to program a new key without a working key and this method worked like magic: • Cut the key at the dealer. VIN and proof of ownership required. That's the only money they get from you! • If your car battery is not charged, plug in a 12V charger for the entire 30+ minute process. • Insert the key and turn it to the ON position. Do not turn beyond this…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine
