Bad claims and advertising for intended purpose.

The header states "1/8" SOLID CARBIDE multi-purpose CUTTING BIT - Wood - Metal - Tile - Fiberglass". FALSE ADVERTISING. The bit states "tile cutting bit" on the package, which is what it may be good for, I bought it to cut 1/16 aluminum for the dashboard of my boat. I tried it and it instantly self destructed. My assumption was that when the ad states Metal on amazon that was what I'd get.

Pros
  • works like a burr costing twice as much
Cons
  • Broke 2 seconds after i started to use it.

Perfect for plaster.

I bought this bit to cut holes for new outlets in '50s plaster and gypsum board walls. I have to say it far exceeded my expectations. It cut many holes without noticeable dulling and I am still using it for various jobs. Would buy again in an instant.

Pros
  • this is a good bit but the price is quite high for it.
Cons
  • won' cut thin metal haven't tried any thing else.

Great wood carving bit.

I use this in my dremel to carve wooden faces and figures. This bit takes some getting used to on wood, almost tossed it once. But once I got used to it, it became an awsum carving tool and one that I couldn't live without. If you never used this kind of tool on wood, then the learning curve is a bit longer than other carving bits, but the payout is worth the time.

Pros
  • This bit is very easy to control and carve.
Cons
  • Fragile
