I got this light for a DIY project in my car and finally I installed it, good brightness and good LEDs, find a professional to install it if you have no auto electric experience have.

The first thing I assumed to be defective turns out my factory harness wires have a different configuration at the connector so are a blown a few fuses, you will most likely have to remove the headliner as well

This item arrived in perfect condition and was easy to install. How wrong was I! At first there were no instructions. Then I realized I had to remove the dome light and then pull the headliner off the roof by unscrewing two more 7mm screws from the roof holding the 3rd brake light. The pins that hold the lampshade and insert new ones that connect to the new 3rd brake light don't work like the old ones. So if I had to do it all over again, I would cut the new wires and splice them to the old…

This item does not fit My Truck. Wrong size, curvature and mounting screw holes not where they should be. There was no way it would fit a 2001 Chevy S10 pickup truck as described when I ordered it.

LEDs are bright but pointing up. Not straight back. Fitness is TERRIBLE. Doesn't fit properly in the hole. Not attached to the roof. Caused a water leak during the first light rain. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY

I did but the fit is not perfect as described in the description. I had to make a gasket because the sealant applied to it was not enough. One more thing - the clips that go to the inner dome don't match the factory clips. So I had to redo the body of the top as well. I won't be buying any more of these when the lights go out in the near future.
