Perfect fit for my 1999 F150.

I bought these to replace a badly burned original third brake light. This one seems well made, fairly easy to install and a lot brighter than the Fabrikein. It took me a while to get used to the pure white light from the LED bulbs, but the brightness is worth it.

Pros
  • Confidence inspiring
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Finally found not funny at the price

It seems to be of decent quality, easy to install, we'll see in terms of durability. Not sure why some reviews mention sticky foam, the F150 doesn't need it. The lantern is bolted to the car and is not even needed, but the sleeve was too small, I reused the original.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • There are nuances

Great light for high stop lights

This is a quality light at a good price. The LEDs are quite bright. Can't complain as everything I needed was included. New socket, new wiring harness and even a 3m spacer. I am very impressed and hope it lasts a long time. The installation requires a little work. I had to flip the back of the headliner to find the OEM connector. Despite all that, it was a fairly easy task.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Only available in black

Looks good but doesn't fit that well!

Doesn't fit! Installation is not easy as the original bulb has a connector located deep under the headliner. This lamp's dimensions vary by as much as an eighth of an inch in places, so even with a very thick ceiling gasket it still won't seal or waterproof. We need to cover everything with black sealant. I do not recommend this.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Plug and Play for 97-03 F150s

This item will replace your OEM 3rd stop light and looks great with LED. It illuminates the bed 100 times better than its halogen counterparts. Remember you will need to lower the rear headliner to access the fork. If you want to avoid this hassle you can simply cut the original wiring and connector off the new unit and then use butt connectors. Overall I give 9 out of 10 points.

Pros
  • Enjoy
Cons
  • Old

Light box installation

Good bright bedside lamps. Much better than the original. Although the picture shows a modular connector and the product comes with a connector, the only way to use this connection is to remove the rear headliner. Otherwise, cut and splice wires. I had a friend of mine who owns a body shop install it with a fork, but earlier at a truck shop I was told to cut and splice as it would cost about $200 to remove the headliner. The flashlight does not come with 2 new mounting screws or installation…

Pros
  • GOLS certification
Cons
  • Replacement availability

Shines good, lousy seal

I bought this lamp a while ago to replace an old one in my f150. I work in the recovery industry. I don't drive much truck at all, so the battery died from not using it. I went inside to turn off the alarm, opened the hood and noticed there was moisture in the dome. I pulled it out and indeed it was there. The entire headliner I replaced a few years ago is soaked through and there is moisture in that light node as well. If you buy it don't use the crappy seal and make sure you seal it better…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • No power

Looks great! It's nice and bright too!

Trunk light bright enough to illuminate the entire bed. However, the installation of this animal did not follow the instructions. It seems my wiring was a little different. Or maybe the instructions weren't clear enough. If anything, wiring was my biggest hurdle to getting the mount to fit my truck properly. There were too many wires to shove past that tight spot! Looking back, I missed my chance to get it right! I cut out a new connector and used the old one. I had to use a new sealing plug…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Available in white only

Very bright easy to install highly recommend

Had to remove the back half of the headliner to get to the connector but it was easy enough with a Phillips head screwdriver, plastic body tools and a pinion torx for seat belts. The old lantern came out with 2 screws and the new one is just right. The 3M glue stuck very well to the headlight but not so well to the truck but I think it was because it was cold when I mounted the headlight. It works better than the old case when I had halogen and LED bulbs. It's ten times brighter than the LED…

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Nothing
