They looked fine after a fairly simple install. However, another flag has disappeared. The top must have come loose. I will update this when the seller replaces the parts. Now I would recommend removing the thread lock for the top. Update 1: The other flag is gone. Later that day the pole broke off. I would recommend threadlock wherever you can.

All in all these are great sticks. They look good on the bike and are easy to ride. They fit the Harley Ultra Glide 16 but I had to use a rubber spacer. Before I put them on though, I took them apart and used the red Lock Tite to hold everything together. It slipped a bit on my first ride and I had to stop and grumble some more about the bolts. After that, they stayed in place at a speed of 80 miles per hour.

They were easy to assemble. They looked very nice when they were first installed. After a few rides at 60mph they start to fall apart at the ends. We anticipated this with flags, so we're not too upset. They are of good quality. I'd rather pay less for new flags than buy the whole set again. We have a Harley with a trunk that we put it on.

They appear to be made of good materials. The clamps fit well on a standard Harley rack. The tape is just Teflon, so it doesn't have any stickiness issues. The loop is poorly designed. The hinge screws must not be tightened, otherwise the hinge will not work. I think that's why everyone has trouble falling apart. I pulled the screws all the way down and tightened just enough for the hinge to still work. Hoping it works.

The flags were of very poor quality. They only started to spread after 1 day of driving. The flagpoles were in 2 separate sections, 3 each and the wind blew them away and one of the poles fell off while I was driving on the freeway. I was very disappointed as they weren't cheap. If I had known it was a Chinese product I would not have bought it, definitely not worth what I paid for it and I wouldn't buy anything with the Revain American flag on it!

After several attempts at assembly, it turned out that although they "folded" to avoid rattling, the screw holding them together had to be loosened. Otherwise they are locked in either the up or down position. I released them so the flags could be folded. Bad idea. first trip, come to my first stop and a flag and a pole are missing. the screw loosened and the rod fell off somewhere. A BAD engineering screw needs to be tight, which means "foldable" is out of the question.

I was very satisfied with this product. I accepted the offer and used Locktite for everything, at least I thought so. At the end of the pin is a small round knob that you pull to lock when raising and lowering the flagpole. Little did I know the handle was just screwed onto the pin. I have just returned from a trip and found that one of the two handles is missing. I can still pull the stylus out, but it was a lot easier to do with the handle in place. Most bikers who buy these poles intend to use them fairly often. If you buy them, be prepared to use protective sealant on the two mounting screws. Even with tape in place, they continue to come loose. Had they been better designed, there could have been a lock washer under the bolts, but the design doesn't leave room for a washer.
