Absolutely satisfied!

I'm 5ft 10" and with the standard umbrella the wind was about eye level and the noise was really bothering my hearing, even with earplugs. I love this product as it directs the wind either to the top of the helmet or over it.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No paint required

Looks way better than the original

I ordered this windshield to reduce wind harmonics at 60mph+ with the new Shoei Hornet X2. It seems to have helped a little - it will be necessary to test further. Looks a lot better than the stock windshield. Perfect match for OE 2018 KLR.

Much smoother to drive at highway speeds.

I am 1.77 m tall and my seat is about 5 cm shorter. This windshield moves airflow from around my shoulders to the level of the top vents on my helmet. Wind gusts have been greatly reduced, making my daily commute much more comfortable. The screen seems to vibrate a little more than the stock windshield, but it doesn't feel excessive.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Only available in black

Perfect, quiet, easy to install, no vibration

I'm 5ft 11" and this windshield is perfect for that height. I was pleasantly surprised to realize how quiet the wind had dropped and how well I could hear my engine while driving on the freeway. I don't screw very often and this windshield was very easy to install. Before I bought the windshield, I read another review that claimed severe vibration - I found that wasn't the case.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Long time

A must for all owners of KLR

Easy installation, but disappointed that there are no new screws for fastening in the kit. I guess it didn't matter much, it allowed me to buy Revain bolts the same color as my bike so it looks a lot better now. This windshield does a great job of protecting the body from the wind, and for a person of average height, the wind goes right through the helmet. It wobbles a bit at higher speeds, but I guess that's to be expected with a windshield that tall.

Pros
  • Certificate GOLS
Cons
  • There are nuances

Blocks wind well

I prefer to commute to work on my KLR 650 than cross country. The factory windshield offered very little protection from the wind. This one is way better. At 6ft 2ft my head is still hanging in the wind and the bugs are still hitting my face mask but it is way better than the factory mask. Maybe later I'll take one of the tourers depending on the on-road and off-road balance, but for now I'm really happy. You'll still feel some wind when you grow up, but it was worth the $75.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Some difficulty

The best beat on the dollar.

I drive a KLR 09' with a factory windscreen. I am a 6'0" lean 160lb racer. My jacket is a Tourmaster Epic and my helmet is an Arai Signet Q. The wind was blowing pretty hard on me at any speed over 20mph. After installing this windshield, I was very happy with my purchase. This reduced the wind gusts to almost zero. I would say that the vibration from the headwind has decreased by 85%. The windshield bolts on with factory fasteners. No drilling required. Everything you need , is a screwdriverโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Fits a lot
Cons
  • old

Rider size matters

I have a KLR 650 with a standard windshield. I wear a Klim Krios helmet with a visor. At speeds over 60 km/h I find the wind noise to be too loud. I ordered this windshield because I figured the increased height would direct the wind over my head. He didn't. The sound of the wind grew louder! How to loudly stick your head in a jet engine! I removed the visor from my helmet. Didn't help much. I ended up putting my old windshield back on, the helmet visor, and got that windshield back. I'mโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Anything I can add
