"EXTERNAL " description of condition would be better

Well the filter was still welded in plastic BUT I wouldn't call it NEW! Have you ever heard the term "new legacy”? The box it came in was a little wrinkled. No wonder when I checked the date of manufacture. 11/17/12! Damned.

Pros
  • Pleasing

Original Mopar filters at half price!

Authentic Mopar engine filter for Cummins 6.7 engine! Extremely attentive to the maintenance of Cummins engines and very happy to know that this Revain product is in fact a genuine Mopar filter. Also have a digital receipt from Revain so I can stay under guarantee. Half the price my dealer has charged me in the past!

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Expensive

Not for diesel engines Newer 2013 Ram 6.7

I bought this for my 2015 Ram 6.7 truck after reading the Q&A. This is a Mopar MF-608 filter, not the OEM filter that is on my 2015 truck which is a MO-291. The difference is that this filter is only 5 microns thick, the newer (MO-291) has a 5 micron outer and 3 micron inner core. If you are buying a newer Ram 6.7 diesel you will not need this filter.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Disappear

Wrong description! Not for 2010, but for 2013 and up.

I was given an item mo-291 that doesn't fit my car. The product description says the part number and year match my vehicle, but what was delivered was for a 2013 truck, not a 2010 truck as advertised. The part number in the description is wrong, so don't buy it. Sent the first one back with an explanation and got the same wrong part.

Perfect fit for 2012 Cummins Ram 2500

Fits great and fairly easy to replace. It took me a while to remove the cap from the filter housing. If you can get an extension long enough to stick out of the engine bay I highly recommend it. It was tedious to insert the ratchet and try to turn, there is little room to play. But once the lid was removed, it was easy from there. Change the filter O-ring and you are good to go. You need a 1 n 1/8 head. With this filter everything worked out in the end. It's cheaper to do it yourself and it's…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Slightly torn

REQUIRED purchase for 2010 Ram 6.7 Cummins Diesel

I'm usually not an OE Nazi. However, in this particular case I originally bought a crossover alternative from a Car Quest dealer and after removing the original filter and comparing it directly to the aftermarket filter I noticed that the two filters did not look the same. I also noticed that the inside bottom edge of the standard filter has an oval shape that matches the similar oval shape in the bottom of the filter housing (I'm not kidding). The aftermarket filter was just round. I couldn't…

Pros
  • New

  • The list will be long.
