It works, what else is there?

I don't like constantly winding and unwinding the cable on the charger that came with my Lenovo laptop. This allows me to have a ready power supply on my desk at home, and extend the life of the standard charger. So far, no problems.

Pros
  • Fits my 2018 flex 14 perfectly. Love having the longer cord.
Cons
  • It is not compatible with other laptop models

Better than the original

Exactly what I needed. My charger broke and I wasn't able to do any work but this thing came in fast! It doesn't charge as fast as the original charger but I really like it because it's not as bulky. It's much easier working at coffee shops with limited outlet space!

  • Great charger, works as expected, like it better then the OEM that plugs directly into the wall.
Cons
  • The charger tends to overheat after prolonged use

Lenovo Flex 5 14 " 2-in-1 Laptop

Bought this to go with my Lenovo Flex 5 14" 2-in-1 Laptop and it appears to work just fine after a bit over a week. At about $22 it's a great value (compared to, say, the charger for my old Macbook Pro or my hefty Acer Predator 17" gaming laptop.)It's got a barrel type connector as opposed to the USB-C connector on the charger that came with the Flex 5 laptop. That way I can use the USB-C connector for other things and still keep my laptop powered.

  • Replacement cords can be hard to find if the original cord is lost or damaged

Can I give less than 1 star?

Stopped working after only using it several times. Of course it happened on a business trip when I had to make a major presentation. Things happen, I get it. However, i would not recommend this ever.

  • Works as described.

  • The adapter is quite bulky, taking up a lot of space in a bag or on a desk
