Bilstein 4600 2004 Silverado 2500 4x4

Tried them on my 2004 Silverado 2500 4x4 Double Cab. There was a friend who guided them for years. I'm glad I bought them. Now it's much better to drive. After 200,000 miles on the truck I have to move on.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • No Performance

Significantly improved handling

2002 Silverado 2500hd 2wd. They have greatly improved driving over speed bumps, potholes, etc. I compare them to worn stock shock absorbers. Not sure how they compare to the new stock shocks. It was a little tricky finding the torque for the top screw. I ended up using 17 ft lbs.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Fits 2007 Suburban 2500

Perfect fit for my 2007 Suburban 2500 and instantly improved driveability. It still drives like a 3/4 ton but still much better. Tip: turn the front wheels completely to the side and pick up the car near the shock absorber to be replaced. Raise it almost enough to lift the wheel, but keep it off the ground. This will extend your front suspension just enough to support the new shock without having to compress it.

Pros
  • Free for Educational Purposes
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Makes a big difference (along with Timbren SES) compared to stock dampers in 2005HD 2500HD with drawer. Much less bouncing and swaying around corners. Went this route over the 5100 series because I left the insert so don't plan on climbing and this series has a reinforced rear shock for very heavy loads like the insert. Easy installation with minimal tools required, just a couple of adjustable wrenches and a truck bottle jack to lift some weight on the side.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Good but not great

Dont wait too long.

Mounted on the front of a 2004 GMC Sierra with 99,500 miles. I was able to fully compress both stock shocks and they stayed there. I don't know how long I carried this dead weight around. It's sad I've waited so long, but I think it's like a frog in boiling water. The truck is now 1 1/2 inches taller. I ordered 2 rear ones which Revain didn't wear and they are rated for the weight of the campervan I have. universal bed. I had great results with Bilsteins 15 years ago on a previous truck and…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
