This is probably good for the daily driver as a permanent replacement, cheaper than the recommended yearly replacement. K&N noticed a noticeable increase, so I was expecting more airflow but didn't feel it at all. I ended up buying a fake K&N cold air intake off eBay. Perfect fake and definitely feel the difference for half the price.

I always thought when you read this stuff it's all just hype but after installing this new air filter in my car I noticed a huge difference in the Acceleration. Didn't see the jump in mileage but the fun factor is just in my ride. Thanks K&N

I've been using this filter in my 2014 Mini Cooper S Countryman for 3 months. I've seen an improvement of 0.5mpg in an average of 8000 miles. That means I saved 4 gallons and a whopping $15. The filter fits as expected. The turbine makes a little more noise than the original MINI air filter.

I have installed K&N filters in my cars and motorcycles for many years. I don't believe the hype about the extra power. If so, noticing it is not enough. I love the fact that they are low maintenance and will last the life of the car. I haven't noticed any significant change in the sound or performance of my 2013 Mini Cooper JCW. But it fits, and that's the main thing.

Such a simple concept. Make an air filter that performs better than the factory part when filtering, allows more air to flow through the filter to reduce restriction, and can be cleaned and serviced as needed. Give it a 10 year / 1 million mile warranty too. That's what you get when you buy a K&N air filter. I have used K&N air filters on all my cars, motorcycles and SUVs for decades and have never had a problem. That's money well spent.

Always a fan of k&n. That extra noise and now I can hear the bypass valve. I was concerned at first because the check engine light came on after installing it. I checked that it is the mass air flow sensor. I cleaned the sensor and found that there was some synthetic oil on it. After cleaning everything is fine. This K&N 33-2936 filter is perfect for my 2009 standard Cooper S! I always go to K&N for my first "upgrade" of my car. It is a good alternative to traditional paper filters and is not as expensive as a real cold air intake system. A few notes. 1) I would say that my mini got a little scratchy from around 4000rpm. 2) I can also hear my stock exhaust valve a little better now. 3) I didn't experience a significant performance boost just by adding this drop. Bought this filter for my 2009 Peugeot THP150 LeMans (same engine as Mini Cooper S). On the plus side, it definitely feels more responsive and the bleeder sound is a bit louder. Also, I can now hear the turbo sucking in air (subtle but definitely noticeable). I would like to say that it seems like she is pulling a little harder.
