I'm glad it has two batteries

The thermometer works well although it's not the fastest to get the true temperature of what you're trying to read. The most disappointing thing was that the battery installed in the thermometer was dead. However, the included backup/spare battery will work.

Pros
  • kitchen and dining room
Cons
  • volume

The battery was almost dead when I opened the box

I turned this thermometer off for about 5 minutes and then back on an hour later and could barely read the display. You could at least send me a new battery. Little did I know I was buying a $12 thermometer with a dead battery. It did the job when it ran for 5 minutes.

Pros
  • Kitchen Utensils & Gadgets
Cons
  • Minor Repairability

The block works great. The only problem I had with the first one.

Device works great. The only problem I had with the first one you sent me was that it easily split in two and broke the very very thin wires holding both pieces. The manufacturer, Taylor, should consider adding additional failsafe features so that it doesn't accidentally open when you access it normally.

Pros
  • Instant Read
Cons
  • Reliability
