🪚 3M Stikit P220A Sheet Abrasive: 02594 Review

What can you say, this product does what it is supposed to do. I attach it to a scrap quartz countertop as a reference surface for sharpening planes, chisels, and other woodworking tools when I need to clean a kerf or change the angle of an edge. A good product.

I bought this to make sanding easier. I built a large tape dispenser using multiple spools and a sandpaper cutter and it worked great. I found this sandpaper to be different than cheap sandpaper. It cuts faster and lasts longer than regular sandpaper. A bit of glue actually helps hold the sandpaper to the sanding block, sander, sponge, or whatever sanding tool I use. Overall this is a great product and has really made my life in store easier.

I use 3M Stikit Gold on a flat granite master plate to level plane soles and to resharpen the primary bevel on planes and chisels. I also use it to line the backs of planes and chisels, but it takes extra care and proper technique not to "duplicate" the edges of the plane or chisel (more on that later).
