Buying a roll of this product is a lot cheaper than buying in small pieces or strips. There is also no "male" or "female" side (hook and loop) which allows the entire reel to be used over time without waste. I cannot recommend this product enough as it handles many difficult applications where velcro just won't do. Whilst it didn't work for me it appears to be a good heavy duty fastening material that should work well in the applications it was designed for . . Sticking to rubber doesn't seem to be one of them. I was trying to use this to attach a thick rubber tailgate mat to my F150 truck's aluminum tailgate, avoiding drilling holes and using sheet metal screws. So I cut 10 feet of tape and stuck it in key locations on the tailgate and another 10 feet on the rubber mat, which was far more than was needed
