🔳 3M 99436 Drywall Sanding 220-Grit Abrasive Review

Used with a drywall sander on my shop vacuum, no mess but lots of scratches no matter how lightly I press. Had to sand with regular sandpaper. upset

Although they are a bit shorter, they took another 10 seconds to fit on my sanding head. They got the job done quickly with my drywall sanding. They tend to leave small marks if you put a lot of pressure on them.

In the business of bringing new life to old homes. I actually use them to remove scale stains from porcelain (toilets and bathtubs). No force is required, it acts quickly and lasts a very long time. Very important.

These sheets work well. I use them with a Hyde Tools vacuum sander to keep dust to a minimum. It's a lot cheaper than buying one at a time at your local hardware store. I found the 220 grit almost unsuitable for my sanding needs, so I went downstairs to speed things up.

Very good stencils for easy finishing of smoother/new drywall or plaster or sanding patches. The screens allow the grout dust to fall out instead of piling up like sandpaper. However, I would use a coarser grit for anything but new finishes. I'm working on an old house with decent plaster walls that were poorly painted (some rooms over wallpaper!). I currently use 60 grit to remove drip marks and other larger burrs and things they sanded off with a standard 9 inch drywall sander. It works well…
