🔧 Efficient Finishing with 3M Sanding Sponge Extra 6 Pack Review

This is just the right size for my hand and I've been looking for something this size for a long time. Happy shopping and good quality!

They were a steal compared to Home Depot. However, they don't last long. Sanding dust easily clogs the pad. They are only intended for use with very light grinding. Grit like 220. Washing doesn't help.

I used this between coats of polish. This is what I've been using for many years. I also use air and electric sanders, but that's for fine-tuning between layers if you want to do enough to get the next layer. Sand sponges stay forever.

They appear to be made out of a rough outer material (as opposed to sand which is glued to the sponge) so they leave no grit. Long lasting and much easier to sand down than a hard block (which cuts through the paint too many times to reveal the primer or base material).

They are easy to keep, starting with our 15 year old daughter. They work fine, but over time they start to fall apart, but probably around the same time as regular sandpaper. At the end of the day we bought an attachment for our drill press and used sandpaper for it. If you have something big, I recommend this approach.

It is very well written but I find it rather rude. Not necessarily bad because they get the job done, but the title is a bit misleading. They are also rigid, I was hoping for more flexibility. But again, they did their job and are good, durable sponges that last a long time.

I bought these for finishing small carving projects where I need tools that can get into small cracks quickly and work flat surfaces quickly. However, I have sanding pads that are much thinner than these and overall I'm not particularly impressed with them. (Wish people would start listing grit on the packaging!
