Introduced a lot of noise

Although it is a metal box, it receives a lot of electromagnetic interference. The external speakers produce an additional hiss in the background that correlates fairly well with what the laptop is doing - a certain web page starts up an intermittent animation, and as the animation continues, I hear additional hiss. I replaced my audio cables with shielded ones, but that only reduced it a bit; What worked was replacing this switch with another one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q1W4484/…

Ideal for changing audio devices.

Used to switch sound sources to a row of speakers on the wall. I have three devices connected: my computer, a ham radio, and another VHF radio. Since this unit's outputs/inputs are both input and output, you can switch in any direction you want, four sets of audio inputs or four sets of speakers or speakers or headphones, to infinity. The device uses mini stereo plugs on all connections. It comes with a male to male connector, so you need to buy more, just pay attention to your connector needs,

Okay, contradictory at best

At a basic level, it needs a power source, a sound source, and you can choose the output for that sound by controlling the volume. It did a pretty good job for a while and still works in the mod, but there are some issues. I have computer speakers connected to one output and headphones connected to the other. However, I did notice that now that the headphones are selected, the sound leaks into the computer's speakers. To get around this, I have to individually minimize the volume on the…

It's good. Costs money.

Update: Still OK. Switch 1/2 starts to work. Sometimes I only hear the left channel. If I wiggle it slightly, the switcher's tone returns to both channels. I also heard some clicks as a result of the switch. I will buy a replacement. I downgraded my rating to 3. First review: I have no real complaints. This is (so far) exactly what I want. I would give it 5 stars except for the questionable 3.5mm male to male cable that comes with the device. I know it sounds weird but it just seems cheap. It's

stay away from him Dies within months - Audiophile

I use this unit to switch between studio monitor speakers (HS7 + HS8) and high quality headphones. DAC + amplifier combo connected to my PC. Firstly, the ergonomics of the device are really bad. Because of the way the inputs are set up, you're almost guaranteed not to be able to keep this on your desk without some cords sticking out the front and making your desk cluttered. Second, the switches are weak. The overall body is metal, which is good, but the switches are of very poor quality. Third,

Finally! One that works perfectly.

I thought switching between speakers and devices without an active mixer is what a lot of people need today, so it seemed crazy that an electronic component like this didn't have more choices on the market . I couldn't even find the most expensive option while looking for one that works really well. The few I could find are cheaply made, rattle when shifting, rattle at the slightest touch. It's all just cheap no matter who made it or where it came from. Sent them back immediately until I…

Works, but you will lose volume and there will be noise.

I received this because I am using audio routing software and it is causing a delay to my speakers through my motherboard, however there is no delay when I use line out on my mic . So I can connect my headphones and speakers to the line out of my microphone. It WORKS but causes noise in the headphones. Adding an isolation loop solves the noise problem, but then you lose all volume. Update: If you can hook up the circuit correctly this device might work, but it's very clumsily designed so the…

IT'S ONE. - Selector switch boxes

This switch is perfect. I use it connected to my computer to switch between speakers and headphones. I've tried many, many other switches (many from Revain, some from small electronics stores) over the past five years and none of them come close to this one. Build quality is excellent and solid (well-finished metal, no plastic), all connectors are protected, and most importantly, there is NO STATIC OR WHITE noise when switching to another source. Every other switch I've tried had either one…
