Do not buy this product

This product has software problems, never worked, contacted the company and rep to buy a new cable which did not help. Never responded to an email after that, pretty much told myself too badly. Stay away.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Quality

Working as advertised

Displays the voltage and current drawn by the motorhome. It also displays error codes if there is a problem, so keep the instructions. It comes with a 50ft cable, which is too long for my setup, but any straight RJ11 cable will do. The slide/toggle switch shown in the listing has been replaced with buttons, an arrangement that makes sense.

  • New

Hardwired SurgeGuard not worth it, see review

Bought for use with a 50 amp device, paid to install, only 1 leg provided power, the other was off. ) out of box New, dead on arrival, then had to pay to have it removed! Then come to find out if it ever worked properly and protected you from surge. You'll have to replace the entire unit and it's hardwired, there's no getting around it. Spend your money on something else - remember you get what you pay for, cheaper you get what I got, crap.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

Easy to read digital display

The Surge Guard remote digital display is easy to mount (four screws) and connects to the Surge Guard EMS. It's plug and play with enough cables to place the display 50 feet away from the EMS unit. Your biggest problem will be deciding where to hide the other 40 feet of cables you aren't using. The display is easy to read and allows you to switch between different message groups. I like being able to control voltage and current when using different devices, especially when working with a…

Works as needed. Expensive.

Works exactly how I want it to. I only give four stars because of the price. I feel like this should have been included in ems from the start. Makes troubleshooting easier. I was hesitant to buy one, but I was tired of taking apart the sofa to see what error lights are on the ems. It's also very nice to see how many amps are being drawn when using things like the air conditioning and TV. Helps figure out what can start when we are in a 20 amp circuit at campgrounds. Even though it's expensive I
