Disappointed. Answers very slow and bad. Should be specified just right and still not always responding. Made cheap. They guided us until we could find the remote control that came with the TV. They look almost the same, but work differently.

1st order First 5 minutes everything is fine. Then suddenly it stopped working. Regardless of the batteries, it just stopped working. Returned and replaced free of charge. The second remote still works. Buttons are definitely cheaper, but at least more functional.

I liked that the buttons were exactly the same as the ones my dog ate. The only criticism is that no batteries were included. Other than that, all I had to do was put the batteries in and it worked right away. Requires no configuration or programming. Plan to buy 1 or 2 more in case the dog decides to eat it again.

My TCL worked for 2 years and almost on the day the warranty ended the remote control died completely. So I bought this with my fingers crossed, it was just a distant problem. I literally put batteries in it, pointed it at the TV and I was back in business. I couldn't have asked for more in terms of a replacement remote than finding one so simple that also controls the Vizio soundbar I'm using.

Very easy to use. I bought TWO of these. The first lasted almost two years, the last a little over a year. I don't know what the solution is. Do you buy the more expensive one and hope it lasts longer, or do you buy two at a time to have a year's supply? When it works it's a good remote, but I guess I'm of a generation that expects things to last longer than a year.

The main issue I have with this remote is that it needs to be aimed squarely at your TV's sensor. Not in the direction of the TV and not on the screen either. It should be pointing right at the sensor on the TV. This can be very annoying. The rest of the remote works perfectly. All buttons work, no programming required. It's a little slower than my original remote when navigating through menus quickly, but not by much. It could be the bad signal it has.

I wanted to take a moment to write this review as when looking at the different TV models it is compatible with is the 2021 50 inch 50S435 not listed. Like many of us, I asked the question above to other buyers in the Q&A and two people answered incorrectly that it doesn't work with the 50S435. This remote works with the new 50S435 and all I had to do was take the remote out of its little box and put the batteries in. No pairings or anything like that.
