This filter uses our XS-Pro Digital mount which is especially suited for DSLRs with wide angle and zoom lenses. It has a front thread for additional accessories. All XS-Pro Digital mounts are made of brass and are matte black to prevent reflections. MRC Nano has an improved outer (8th) layer over regular MRC. The nanotechnology based characteristic (lotus effect) produces a better beading effect with water making the cleaning of this filter even simpler and faster than ever before. These are great filters and I will continue to buy them

These are great filters and I will continue to buy them. The first one I received was defective. Revan did an excellent job on the return. I bought a second one and it's perfect. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that while B+W and others have a great reputation, it's important to check what you're getting. Even the best are not always perfect.

Genuine B+W quality, verified on the B+W website

This filter has the obvious quality that B+W is known for. I have read about Revain sellers selling counterfeit B+W filters and found that the B+W website schneiderkreuznach.com allows you to verify the authenticity of your filter by entering the information on the filter packaging. I was pleased that the actual filter manufacturer confirmed that the filter I bought from Revain was genuine.

Money well spent for protection and quality

I bought a B+W 49mm XS-Pro Clear Filter to use with a Canon EF-M 15-45 3.5-6.5 IS STM lens. The workmanship is superb: solid brass frame, matte black finish to eliminate glare, smooth threads and knurling on the rim for a secure grip. The slim profile does not vignette at the 15mm setting. I found the transparency and glare resistance excellent. No problem with street lights or sunsets causing glare or ghosting. And yes, the front thread is deep enough to securely hold a lens cap or mountโ€ฆ
