Funny riddle! My kids loved putting this together and .

Fun Puzzle! My kids loved putting it together and learning about the USA. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because some pieces of the puzzle were so similar that a couple of times we put the wrong piece in the right place. Also, my kids loved it and I plan to buy the New York version of this puzzle next time.

Pros
  • Free for Educational Purposes
Cons
  • Some Problems

I liked the 1st layer best because there are not so many 3D possibilities

We bought a USA 4D puzzle. The first level of the puzzle was fun to put together as it fits together like a traditional jigsaw puzzle. The second layer, including the foam, was very easy (took maybe 10 minutes) and the monuments were just as easy. The monuments were a confusing choice for each state, and the plastic pieces don't represent very well. All in all, it's a fun way to keep yourself busy during the day, but we won't be buying another one of these puzzles.

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • The possibility of updating

This puzzle series is a lot of fun! Note that this is not intended for younger children. But it's a great family activity that younger kids can easily get involved in. We've been to New York over the Christmas holidays in the past, and this time happened to be Thanksgiving weekend. One base layer is done which is the most difficult and time consuming, the other two layers take very little time and are a lot of fun. When finished it will look amazing on the wall.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • There are problems

It's fun but not satisfying

I liked putting the puzzle together, but left the final stages of assembling buildings/structures for a few weeks. One reason is that the plastic parts were so small that they were difficult for the elderly to read. Another reason is that in many cases their shapes do not match the structures they represent. The Hollywood Sign looks like a mountainside with nothing on it. Las Vegas was the flag block and that was the only part that actually broke. To me, it would be more interesting if the…

Great educational tool disguised as a toy

My 9 year old got this for Christmas and it was a huge hit with the whole family. It ended up requiring more parental involvement than expected, but it added to the attraction/social time/history lessons. The puzzle piece wasn't easy to put together (lots of pieces with the same color/shape), the 3D foam pieces of the states and mountains were fine for layers 2-5, and the landmark pieces were fun to figure out what they were and which state they belonged. Overall it took a HARD three days to…

Frustrating 4D Puzzle

My family loved the New York 4D puzzle so much that we decided to make the US History 4D puzzle next. The basic puzzle isn't the best (a bit shaky, too many identical cuts, edge assembly was very confusing), but we managed. The foam layer was light, but the Rocky Mountains were too big for the map scale. However, the misplaced geography was a major disappointment to my family of geography lovers. The Everglades is not in North Carolina, the Liberty Bell is in Philadelphia and not in Washington,

Happy to buy; very very disappointing

This puzzle is a good idea but very poorly executed.* The first level is a normal puzzle; but given the audience (8 years old) the pieces are smaller than I expected. But that's not a major problem as our 6 year old puzzle fanatic had no problem with it. However, it was stumped a few times because so many parts are interchangeable that you really don't notice when they're in the wrong place.* The foam layer is very easy to assemble. Children will definitely need help cutting out the…

Puzzles did not impress

Cityscape fixes some of the bugs previously mentioned in previous reviews such as: B. the position of the Liberty Bell and the Florida Everglades. Now they are in the right states. This is a 3 level puzzle. The first level is a typical 19th century US jigsaw puzzle showing each territory with the date of land acquisition. I was disappointed with this layer because all the shapes of the puzzle pieces were so similar that the kids and I placed a few pieces in the wrong places. I had to…
