Mixed feelings on road trip accessories

Got two of these for my new car along with a matching hammock to keep my Sheltie from scratching the back seat doors and keeping my seats clean. I decided to only use the tabs that match the window, no velcro, because I wasn't sure about sticking velcro to my new door panel. However, this was not effective. I keep having to push the tabs out of the window again because they keep slipping out. I think this is the best scenario if you want to secure your doors, but it's by no means a permanent or

Working but needs improvement

My dog gets angry when he sees another dog and scratches the door of our SUV. So I bought this door guard to make sure his drool and sake wouldn't make contact with the door when he was rowdy in the back seat (when he's buckled up). I love how the plastic latches slide between the window and door to keep them in place. But the velcro that holds it is a joke and I didn't manage to attach it. So I think I'll put some kind of tape all over the top where the plastic tabs are set to keep them from…

Good idea but problems

My Great Dane takes up the entire back seat of my truck. I have a 4Knines seat cover to protect the seat, but I wanted to put something on the doors to keep her nails from hurting. Decided to try these as the reviews were good. I love the thickness of the door panels and the protection they offer. However, there are a few issues preventing me from giving 5 stars1. The plastic tabs that fit into the window slot pop out as you raise and lower the window. This means the door cover will fall off…

Great accessory for your 4Knines seat cover! Works great on my doors.

Wow I love these door panels (order 1 pair) for my 100 series Toyota Land Cruiser. Processing and material top! I also noticed that unlike several other door panels I found, there was no chemical smell. I chose beige or taupe and it goes very well with my decor. I love that there are multiple ways to attach the covers to the door. I ended up just using the black flaps on the back that fit into the sill. They also have Velcro sewn into the back and come with matching 3M Velcro on the back if you

Not so good in every application

Material and stitching appear to be good but that's where the good stuff ends. I have an F-150 Super Crew Cockpit and a 140lb Boerboel pup. These things are more like bibs than blankets. They end up over the bottom of the seat if I don't use velcro. For those of you who are having trouble getting the velcro to adhere to the door vinyl, first clean with Spray Nine, allow to dry completely, then apply the velcro. Maybe after you're done apply a vinyl bandage to protect the vinyl again. In any…

Too expensive to not be customizable/adjustable.

I have previously purchased a 4Knines hammock and have been very happy with the product. The design is thought through to the smallest detail, the quality is excellent. Not so with the door guards from 4Knines. My car is a 2013 Mazda CX-5. The tabs that slide into the door don't hold the protective pads in place... not at all. The pads fell off during installation. What the hell? The lugs are too short, too flexible and too thin to fit snugly against the glass. Velcro straps are provided but…

The door covers I bought had really good reviews and worked well

I bought their seat covers for my Ford F350 truck a few years ago. At that time they were only in black. I bought another brand of door pads for them as 4Knines didn't have them at the time. The door covers I bought had really good reviews and worked well. I recently saw that 4Knines started making brown seat covers. I bought one to better match my truck's interior and the dog hair it leaves on the seat cover. Then I saw that 4Knines also started making door panels, brown ones at that. I also…
