Works like a charm on spares

Like The only thing I need to figure out is the location in the cab because of course the dash is cracked where they are supposed to put the handle. I already had a pre-made cable slot to go through a large grommet with a bunch of other wires, so it's a plus that I decided not to make another hole in my firewall. Only problem is it's now right under the hood latch and I'm worried about drilling that senile dash.

In the announcement: differential kits cpl.

Generally very satisfied. Installation was easy, the hardest part was finding and drilling a hole in the firewall. The only complaints I have about the system are: A) The mounting bracket seems a bit flimsy for such a stiff cable B) The kit should include all 3 C-clamps you need (make sure you get the keep standard clamps). So far the system works great. Much more reliable than stupid factory vacuum systems.

Must have standard equipment

Expensive, but the peace and quiet is worth it. As a result, the vacuum system was abandoned. It was unreliable at best on my 99 Ram 1500. The hardest part of the installation involved 3 broken CAD case screws. Once I pulled them out, installation was a breeze. Do yourself a favor and buy a new shift fork as a set. It's easier than trying to use the 9th. It cost me $20 and significantly reduced the installation time. Others say that commitment and rejection can sometimes be difficult. It's no…

Reliable front axle engagement = peace of mind.

This kit fits perfectly on my 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 with Dana 60 CAD front axle. Cable rather than relying on the vacuum or electrical system to function is clearly a matter of peace of mind. I don't even try to diagnose problems in failing OEM CAD systems, I just rip out the factory electrical or vacuum system and install such a kit. I have installed literally dozens of these kits for other people and on 4 of my own cars. for many years. This is a must have for any 4x4 with factory electric or…

Best thing I've done with my truck

Love this kit. I installed this on my 97 Ram 1500, 4x4 5 speed. I tow a lot of trailers and the 2WD Low feature is great for reversing with heavy trailers or in tight spaces. (Keeps grip, you can crawl when idling). Installation was pretty easy, took 2 hours Make sure you use plenty of zip ties to keep the cable away from exhaust fumes or sharp corners. There are two ways to activate the 4x4, either by turning the knob counter-clockwise or by pressing the knob and pulling out until it clicks…
