Description of 58290 Connector Socket Mounting Bracket

STANDARD FIT. This trailer wiring mounting bracket is designed to securely mount virtually any industry-standard RV blade 7-way connector. FLEXIBLE MOUNTING. The bracket features multiple fastener holes to fit a variety of trailer wiring harnesses. It allows you to mount the wiring harness onto your vehicle or trailer hitch, whichever is most convenient. HIGH-STRENGTH. This trailer wiring harness bracket is made from solid steel to provide plenty of strength for a solid mount and to remain fixed in spite of vibrations while towing. The steel body will not crack like plastic alternatives. CORROSION-RESISTANT. To face the weather and elements with ease, this trailer wiring bracket is covered in a black powder coat finish, helping to resist rust for long-lasting strength. EASY TO INSTALL. To install this mounting bracket for vehicle-trailer wiring, you can bolt it directly onto your vehicle using the top screw holes, or you can pair this bracket with the CURT #57202 for a convenient, no-drill, tube clamp mount.

Modified to work with

and required modification to work. You also need equipment. I expected that, so it wasn't a big problem for me. just know

Pros

Cons

Hm. I'm glad it was only a few bucks.

Screw holes do not align with 7-pin connector. The mount itself isn't long enough to fit on the F350. (The bar doesn't hang low enough to release the hook.) I used it as a template and made my own out of stainless steel.

Pros
  • External accessories
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Fits external accessories

Ordered this to install a 7 pin RV plug on my car's hitch. I took a hacksaw and cut a slit in the bottom center to let my connections through as I had already wired the machine up. paint it with paint to avoid rust where i cut it; I used some mounting bolts and nuts to attach a plug to it and a pipe clamp to hold it to the drawbar.

Pros
  • Wiring
Cons
  • Small parts
