Explodes on cooling!

they exploded on cooling in less than an hour! What a dangerous mess to clean up! Luckily we weren't in the room at the time.

Works great for halogen bulbs

works great needs better packaging. The only way to open the packaging is to rip it open, and if you're not particularly careful, the items will break out of the packaging, fall to the ground and shatter into a million bajillion pieces.

400W are enough!

400 watts are enough for me - it still lights up a lot. Make sure not to touch any part of the lamp during installation. I used disposable plastic gloves. The box says it needs to be set up so it lays flat - easy for me because both portables were designed that way.

In the advertisement for these lamps, their color is 6000K, it's not!

Product description qualifies halogen lamps as 6000K, which puts them at the higher end of the daylight spectrum. They don't exceed 2700K, which places them at the other end of the lighting color gamut. They are not as advertised, not even close, I am very disappointed in false advertising. Not in one, but in two places they are designed for 6000K colors! In the first shot, the 5000k bulb is in the foreground while the yellow 2700k bulbs are visible far in the background. Works great with incandescent bulbs
