No money saved (B&W $38, Curt $10)

Great product but had to buy a $40 cobalt drill to drill 9/16" holes in B&W -To drill hitches (to accept larger Curt U-bolts. My mistake. I hope this review will save you time, money and frustration for B&W hitch owners.

Pros
  • Provides a secure connection for trailer safety chains on the gooseneck
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Good replacement: towing equipment and winches

- Screwing off the body of my truck for spraying. B&W wanted twice as much to buy their replacement hangers. They were largely identical to the B&W U-Bars but at a fraction of the cost. I would definitely buy again if needed.

Pros
  • HIGH VERSATILITY. Add useful and versatile towing capabilities to your vehicle with this Class 1 towbar. It features a standard 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" hitch allowing you to tow a small trailer or fit a roof rack can or bike rack
Cons
  • Useless features

When I first bought my pickup, it had a .

When I first bought my pickup it had a specially installed ball joint but no chain links. I drilled four holes in the box and installed it as an addition to my already custom setup. Very heavy and the springs make them quite snug when not in use.

Pros
  • Spring loaded design holds safety chain loops to truck body
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Ideal for home build towbars

Home build boom in a truck. You did a great job completing the install. The 5/8 shaft was long enough to go through the bed and my 5/8 steel plate which is the hitch frame.

I didn't save any money (B&W $38, Curt $10)

Great product but I had to buy a $40 cobalt drill to drill 9/16" holes in the B&W coupler (to to accommodate the larger Curt U-bolts) size) . My mistake. Hope. This review will save you time, money and frustration for B&W hitch owners.

Good replacement for hitch accessory

I had to cut the original safety chain u-bolts off my truck body to paint them. B&W wanted twice as much to buy their replacement hangers. They were largely identical to the B&W U-Bars but at a fraction of the cost. I would definitely buy again if needed.

Pros
  • Tow hitch accessory
Cons
  • Commercial availability
