Can also test alternators, regulators and starters. 500 amp side terminal clamps and heavy duty stranded copper cables. Meters are color coded for simple pass or fail diagnostics. 15 second test with audible tone.

Normal but not accurate

Due to the low price it might have been nice to do an unusual battery stress test but the setup was finicky and it sometimes started sparking internally.

Handy battery tester

I needed a tool to test the health of my 12v batteries. This not only checks the voltage, but also carries out a "load" test. A very useful tool if you have motorcycles and other toys with 12V batteries. Also works with lithium batteries.

In an age when you can't get anyone competent on the phone it's refreshing that there is still a company that will let you have a conversation with someone who knows products. In terms of quality (with the exception of real garbage), the products of most manufacturers do not differ. The difference in customer service. Steve from Electronic Specialties patiently had a long chat with me and told me about some aspects I didn't know. Oh, by the way, BIG LOAD TESTER!

The multi-scale ammeter is easy to use and perfect for my needs and budget.

Arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. All in good condition, no play. This particular model is better than some others I've seen due to the multiple scales on the ammeter. The ammeter has scales showing CCA and AH so there is no need to calculate "half CCA" or "3X AH". Easy to use and definitely perfect for my needs.
