Good value for money - unexpectedly powerful and really deep.

A very nice feature is the sawdust container - it is very efficient and captures at least 95% of the dust. When emptying, be careful when removing - it is just a friction fit plastic piece and can easily break if not pulled straight out. You can also use a vacuum hose to empty it very efficiently. It doesn't hold much but that's okay - it's a small grinder. Surprisingly strong for a motor that is only 6 amps. The grind pressure light is redundant as it just keeps grinding no matter how hard you…

Pros
  • Vacuum compatible - fits 1-1/4" standard vacuum hose
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging

Belt stays in place, works well, dust collection is inferior

Advantages:1. Abrasive belt stays in place2. Fairly quiet 3. Low cost Cons: 1. The dust collector works best when connected to a vacuum system. Otherwise, expect half the sawdust to be in the collection chamber and half scattered everywhere. Conclusion: I needed an inexpensive belt sander as I work with the occasional orbital sander most of the time and only need a belt sander occasionally. Would love to have a porter cable, but it's hard to spend $100 or more on a tool every once in a while…

Pros
  • Pressure control technology warns user of excessive pressure
Cons
  • Very expensive

Works like a pro - dust pick up isn't very good

This great value little belt sander really packs a punch! I needed to sand peeling paint off my 400 square foot deck before painting it and I was about to rent a belt sander to get the job done when I came across this tool. It cost less to buy than rent a mill for 24 hours so I said what the heck? And it worked like a champ - polished my deck down to bare wood. I don't know how it will perform on more complex interior work, but outside on deckboards it was perfect - light, maneuverable…

Pros
  • Sanding flush to the edge for maximum productivity
Cons
  • Something different
