Great product, I can feel the difference in my truck's throttle response. Unfortunately, I broke the plastic hose fitting, so I advise you to be careful when installing the induction plastic hose fitting. Plus, you can't go wrong with this cold air intake system from K&N.

I noticed the noise immediately. Much more noise (powerful sound) under the hood when accelerating faster than usual. Increased throttle response. Took a drive after install and got 23 MPG on my 2009 RAM 4.7L 2WD. Not bad for a full size truck with the leveling kit installed. Performance is great, but I could do with a little less noise under the hood. But it's really picky as it sounds pretty good.

Yes this product will make your engine bay hiss at idle but who cares we are after the performance. Yes, this product amplifies the raspy sound as your car drives through different RPM ranges, but who cares, it has improved performance. And yes, this product will increase your overall productivity. The only problem is that now I drive my truck like a race car because I like the noise it makes in low gears at high revs. vrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmm

Received the kit yesterday and installed it in about an hour. The only problem I had installing the kit was that I used too much force when inserting the plastic crankcase connector into the metal intake pipe and cracked the plastic connector. Just this morning I called K&N and they said they would send me one right away for free. Now my truck sounds great and runs much stronger even with a bit of tape to fix my mistake. I have a 2004 Ram 1500 4x4 with a 4.7 liter gas engine and a 6x12 closed tandem trailer that I towed my stuff from Michigan to Alaska.
