Great for what it is

Great lens for the money. Sharpness and clarity are fine, except I feel like I can't use f1.2 in most scenarios. I usually like to shoot fairly wide open, and most of the time I'm at f2. The focus ring feels solid and fairly easy to use, and is fairly smooth with little to no resistance. If you're looking for a reasonably priced manual focus lens that's sharp enough, this is a good choice.

  • Great price

You will not be disappointed!

If you're looking for a lens with spectacular bokeh at an affordable price, this is it! I've read so many reviews on this lens and most of them have complained about the sheer amount of flare or light leakage. but when i checked it was good. It is very small and good for street photography. The only drawback is the front cover, which can fall down unnoticed at any time. Get this lens if you haven't already!

Tiny and old fashioned in rendering

I love this lens. The structure is a bit wobbly. Photo type but when you focus the nail it's so cool. and tiny means he can always be with you. A recent trip only lasted my 10-24 and this guy and it was perfect. I missed manual focus shots etc. Yes, but I knew it was going to happen, but the shots I got were dreamy. cheap and great if you're not a pixel lover and value vibes over crazy sharpness and digital.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some bugs

Strange filter thread

I now have 2 of these lenses. One for Canon (black) and one for Fuji (silver). I recently received a Fuji mount lens and noticed that the filter thread depth had changed from my old Eos m mount version. It's a little short to fully accept the filter. I tested 3 filters. fotasy and b+w don't fully enter the thread, while tiffen fully enters the thread but keeps spinning at the end without blocking. I returned my purchase and received a replacement and it is the same as the one returned. I went…

Looks like it really is an f1.4 lens

This lens is cheap and that means problems. Most importantly, from my observations, this is not an f1.2 lens. It really is an f 1.4 lens and that's what counts. I took a series of test photos, switched to 1 stop and watched the shutter speed change. From f16 to f2, each stop changed the shutter speed by a factor of 2, but I had to go from f1.2 to a point on the dial from f1.2 according to my camera meter. (Fuji X-Pro1) This process was also slow due to the lack of tactile feedback on the…

Focusing is good and smooth

I'm giving five stars because this lens can do for the price. First, it's tiny! It would be tiny even if it were 35/2.5, but it's 1.2! Focusing is good and smooth. The aperture ring doesn't snap into place, but since it's on the back, there's little chance of accidentally changing the aperture. Focus travel is fairly short and the lens focuses quickly and easily when actually popping into the viewfinder. However, it's also easy to change focus unintentionally, so be careful with that. Also, not
