Blown Away!: Lenses for Mirrorless Cameras

I don't write many reviews, but I feel like I have to. This little lens has it all! I was amazed at the results! I very much doubted that this was all manual, but it didn't bother me at all! However, my Fujifilm Peak Focus helps. Make no mistake, this lens is worth every penny and more! I've attached two photos, one at f1.8 in low light and the other at f16 in bright light. The lens coped with both tasks with amazing results.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Speed

Received the wrong color but still works great.

Image quality is sharp with excellent bokeh in out-of-focus areas. I bought the silver model and was excited about the cool look of the silver. Unfortunately, I received a black model instead. I was about to return it for an exchange but it looked great on my black X-T2. It works well with focus view enabled. For the price, the quality is high and the image output is pleasant. I recommend buying this lens for Fujifilm x-t2.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not satisfied

Very cool manual lens on Fuji

This is a very good lens for playing with manual focus on modern fully automatic cameras (Fuji XE2S and XPro2 in my case). The image quality is very good, I would say on par, but probably not better than the Fuji lens. The processing/material quality is also excellent. Combined with the price, this little gem is hard to beat. I would like to emphasize the fun factor. It's like using my Leica IIIb, they slowed me down when taking photos but made the process more enjoyable.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive

  • I vaguely remember

Great lens for the price!

This lens is a lot of fun. For the price, it's hard to fault. Build quality is great, everything works well, and there's something nice about slowing down and using a manual focus lens. Picture quality is very good for what it is. If you want clinical sharpness throughout the frame, look at native Fuji lenses and spend 5x (or more) more. If you are looking for a lens that is fun and gives your photos a unique character at a very affordable price, this lens is a good choice. So what is the…

Great lens for the price!

Overall this is a great lens and an AMAZING lens for the price! I chose silver so I had to order it directly from 7Artisans, it took a little longer but it was worth it! The photos are sharp and the lens is really well built. There is very little distortion and CA. The only thing that confuses me is that the aperture has no clicks, which makes it easy to make mistakes when focusing. This is such a small lens that I accidentally turned the aperture ring (several times) thinking it was the focus…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use

  • Not bad

Fantastic value for money

Five stars for price and lens performance. This lens is sold under several brands. I like to think that 7Artisans has better quality control, but there is no proof. Pros: price, size, close focus (18cm), center sharpness, bokeh. Disadvantages: Angular sharpness with an open aperture. Note: The lens has drawing pockets. In other words, it's not surgically perfect like today's lenses. But that also means it can give you images that modern lenses can't. Unlike vintage lenses, which tend to be…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Available in black only

Inexpensive, should be interesting, just not for me

When I ordered the lens I knew what I was getting into - a cheap lens that would involve some compromises. I have several manual focus 7Aratisan, KamLan and Samyang lenses so this is not my first rodeo. I have many Fuji Prime lenses, but I need a "character lens" whose flaws I can use to my advantage. It turned out that I was right - cheapness, a few compromises, character and flaws. It was missing: fun, concentration and everything I could use. For a fairly wide 25mm lens, it was surprisingly…
