Complete nonsense! Best in Body and Finish

PIA installation passed. Worked 1 day and quit. The back door is locked and cannot be opened. A complete waste of time and $$$.

Pros
  • Fair performance
Cons
  • No performance

Plastic Clips Scrap - Trim

Typical Dorman Plastic Clips! When the tailgate was opened 10 times, the clip that holds the clip for the threaded rod didn't hold! I had groceries in the back, thank goodness it was an avalanche and I was able to go to bed to get them out! The fit and finish is fine, just junk clips

Pros
  • Beautiful Item
Cons
  • Negative Gift

No help for outside door handles

Cannot get feedback on 2011 avalanche line. WILL return parts. Obviously, nobody you're dealing with has ever changed the lock on a 2011 Avalanche tailgate. They always want to talk about 2006 and earlier. My son can change that. Very disappointed. No help

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Problem

NO OEM SPECIFICATION. best spare parts

This is not an OEM specification! The OEM version had a cover over the release mechanism to prevent anyone from opening the tailgate and the gauge you can see in the picture does not include this product. The product is also poorly designed. The riveted bracelets leak, which affects the correct functioning of the device. I do not recommend this product and if I had known beforehand I would have sent the product back but I bought it late last year and now I cannot return it. You have to buyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Robust surface
Cons
  • Not for everyone

2007 Avalanche, fits like a glove, ie the grip

Fits perfectly, the plug is perfect, even new swivel heads are included. Works perfectly. I advise you to buy double-sided tape and clips for the spoiler at the same time (there is a complete set here somewhere), or wait for reinstallation. Removing the spoiler is a pain (thanks to GM's "engineers/designers"!), it attaches with a single bolt/nut, 7 plastic clips inaccessible with normal fairing removal tools, and 5 feet double assembly. double-sided, heavy-duty 3M tape (which is also difficultโ€ฆ

Pros
  • inspires confidence
Cons
  • wobbly

Fits perfectly and replaces my 2011 Chevy Avalanche.

The thing is, I used to work for GM and as an engineer at a plant in Rochester, NY that made door lock actuators. This factory closed around 2008, the business was sold and most of it was shipped overseas. Dorman appears to have a license to manufacture the drivetrain and crank assembly in Taiwan. Yes, I had the same block in my 2011 Chevy Avalanche. So the quality as such is the same as the OEM. I have a hypothesis as to why my latch actuator failed. My truck was parked on a hill, the tailgate

Pros
  • Great Design
