Quick work with inner tie rods

Purchased to replace the inner tie rods on my 1995 Honda Del Sol. The driver's side was loose, so I changed both of them. This tool worked great and fast. Also came with a good range of sizes.

Pros
  • 1/2" drive tube handle fits many cars and light trucks
Cons
  • No instructions

Not very good

Inner tie rods do not fit to mount adapters for removal or installation. My parts that I can use are adapters. The tool itself will not work on new cars with internal keyways. Can't use this for anything else. It just sits in the drawer of my tool box.

Pros
  • Inner tie rod is easy to remove and install, works with inner tie rods with inaccessible key flats
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Inexpensive but gets the job done

This tool uses a locking clip to hold the correct wrench to loosen the inner tie rod. The safety clip is spring loaded only and can be easily removed. It is quite difficult to loosen or tighten the inner tie rod end without it popping out. It's cheap, sure, but it does the job.

Pros
  • This kit includes a quick release collar for securing crow's feet.
Cons
  • Almost never
