Old appliance parts

This is not good. There's nothing heavy about them, the carabiners fell apart when I installed them, the clips just slipped off the tarpaulin when I started hanging them, it's just that everything around them isn't good. Don't waste your money on these, they're cheap for a reason.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • old

Exactly as described except.

Holds up well, easy to install, carabiner offers flexible use, but the slide release mechanism pinched my fingers trying to adjust the grip on thin, flexible material in hard-to-reach places. This probably won't be a problem if you work outdoors.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Disappears

Do Not Buy: Tarpaulin & Drawstrings

I bought these because I need a strong hanger or a way to hang very heavy puff skirts. They don't open wide enough to tuck in fabric. The carabiner on them is too small to hook anything. I decided to only use it on some smaller dresses and then they broke. Useless

  • Mostly Good, But...

Not impressed. fits tarp and brackets

I'm trying to complete a project that requires heavy tarp tension, like the Surface. I attached the first clip, it broke. The band you slide forward to create a tight clip broke when attaching. In this case I used the test object as a polymer yarn. He had no support and ended up acting like two weakened fingers. just slipped out like a little girly person.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Handle not strong enough

I like the concept but they are not strong enough. I tried using them to hold the tarp over my boat with bungee cords. With the first light breeze, they slipped off immediately. The problem is that the claw part doesn't hold the tarp very well. The spikes point in opposite directions, so you can't hold on to the tarpaulin even when it's fully tightened. Part of the problem is a lack of clamp strength, and part of that is poor design.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Don't buy tarp and ribbons that well

Not worth the money unless you want your picnic tablecloth to blow away in the wind. In the tightest position, these clips will not hold the blue tarp in place, preventing it from slipping. Carabiners really are a joke! You can't put them on properly (small end on the clip, big end on the rope). They are mounted in such a way that the rope cannot be threaded through them. If you then put a rope on these carabiners and tighten them, they will bend. Pretty weak link.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Something else

Simple and effective - fittings

Just bought these to attach to my motorcycle jacket. My ventilated summer jacket is very light and does not sit on the waist when driving on the highway. So I connected a couple of these, tied them together and clipped them to the bottom of the jacket and the other clip to the jean pocket. Do this on both sides and the jacket will stay in place no matter how fast I drive. Simple and works great. Quality is what you expect (cheap) so don't expect them to last. I think it will depend on how muchโ€ฆ

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

So far so good, but it's only been a week

In typical Amazon fashion, we're asked several times to review something we've received but in many cases haven't had time to use it. In this case I glued the clips but the quality depends on how they hold up to UV rays. This is not soft PVC plastic but harder plastic handle and parts. Experience has shown that hard plastic degrades faster in the elements. This is just an estimate, how much can I be exposed to UV rays per week? Installation on a tarpaulin is a problem. You first insert a tarpโ€ฆ
