9/16" X 5/8" White V-Shaped Door Seal Strip - 35Ft Fowong Kerf Weather Stripping. Review

First, this is made to use on window or doorframe with an edge that slides into the weather stripping piece. We don't have anything like that. There is some low grade adhesive on this, but it is essentially useless. We cut pieces of this stuff to fit a side door on the travel trailer and thought the adhesive would attach to the metal frame and hold. It did for about 24 hours. This weatherstripping worked very well for my application. The plastic tab has a good friction fit into the kerf around the edges of the door. Note that there is no adhesive on this material, nor would you need to add any if the door kerf is the correct width.The material arrived quickly and was well packaged. There was only a minor kink in each strip, but it quickly relaxed to its original shape when it was unfolded.

It took time to get here due to delivery and live in Florida. I required to replace it because my dog removed the previous one with surgical precision with door shut? Yes who knows.Anyways I notice a huge difference and seals the garage heat great. I feel no warm breeze around the door as the previous one did. I cut it to size with a utility knife and cut easily. There is enough to do two doors so if my dog successfully bites and pulls this out I’ll have another set.

It does not fit the door I had bu was able to use it on another door. Check to make sure you cab remove your weatherstrip before ordering. This is a high quality product.

I replaced 30+ year old weather stripping (no doubt US made) with this. It fit fine and seems durable. I’d use it again. The thin design may not provide enough protection against insect or pest infestations.
