Description of πŸ”§ Enhanced A12032000Ux0091 DMiotech Plastic Multi Meter Grabbers: Superior Performance and Versatility

You can connect the clip to multimeter or DC power by a lead. Help you to test IC or repair cell phone and other mini electronic products more conveniently. Powerful spring pulling the min hooks to grasp tiny components firmly and avoid any short-circuit. Capable of grabbing small points, such as SOIC IC legs. It also can be inserts into breadboard or other connector.

Difficult to connect, ends won't snap

Yes, no. I didn't particularly like these. Took them for Arduino prototyping. They are small to begin with but I had trouble soldering them to very thin wires and when I did they still interfered with their clamping mechanism. I'll continue to work with what I have, but I wouldn't buy them again and would have trouble recommending them to others.

Pros
  • Strong spring tension on mini hooks securely holds tiny components and prevents short circuits.
Cons
  • Poor manual

The description of this item states that it is SMD parts. The width of the post to hook is about 0.84mm; the depth of the post to the hook is about 0.4mm; Hook approx. 1.7 mm. So if you have an MCU with pins that are 1.27mm apart and about 0.9mm apart (e.g. Atmel Attiny85-SU) you can't use them to connect to the MCU's pins . This element was even too big to connect. to the 6mm x 6mm Gullwing tactile switch legs and will obviously not connect to any of the 0603 components on the SMD board.

Pros
  • It can also be connected to a breadboard or other connector.
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for seniors

Almost what I wanted

I have to admit the price was right but I was hoping for these clips, I think they are called EZ-Hooks where the clip provides a pin to put on the sweater. These don't have it. Instead, the copper stamping inside the clip that forms the conductive element has a small hole into which the wire can be soldered. Of course, the plastic case provides access to this interior space. I was hoping to use my nice 40 wire ribbon cable jumper to put it directly onto these terminals. It's not going to…

Pros
  • A paper clip can be connected to a multimeter or DC power source with a wire.
Cons
  • No instructions
