Not for Taller Paddlers

This paddle is fine for shorter paddlers that won't be using it at/near it's maximum extension and it's my go to paddle when I take people out on my spare board, but I bought it for me as a lighter/better paddle and it just doesn't work at it's max extension. WAY too much flex, and it flexes in a concerning way - not a continuous curve across the shaft like other paddle's I've used, but a much more pronounced bend at the joint. I got this because I snapped my aluminum paddle in half after a few

Pros
  • Easy to travel with. Not as light as I was hoping though.
Cons
  • Shaft may bend under pressure

Does not work for its intended purpose

The joints are very loose. The bottom joint is loose and the paddle rattles around on the end of the pole. Then, the upper clamp mount is very loose. I tightened down the screws are tight as I could possibly tighten them with a screwdriver, but, when I closed the clamp the joint was still so loose the handle twisted and would not remain at the proper height. I had a hard time paddling as the paddle kept twisting and the handle kept collapsing.

Pros
  • Fast shipping
Cons
  • Limited durability, unable to withstand frequent use

Sent me a used, broken paddle pretending it was a new one

The pedal seems OK, but it has obviously been used. There are scratches on the handle, damage on the inside of the shaft, and when I shake the shaft, something loose and broken is rattling around inside of it. (Whatever it is, there’s no way to get it out.)Frankly, I do not trust the product or the ethics of a company that would send me a defective, obviously used product when I paid for a new one. I hope they enjoy paying the shipping cost both ways on this product when I return it.

Pros
  • Haven't used it much yet, but grip feels great and it's a lot lighter than my original paddle.
Cons
  • Too much flex - feels like it will break when used with liberal force.

Easy to assemble and breakdown.

Appears well made and easy to assemble/breakdown, and easy to replace into sturdy yet lightweight carrying bag. Have not put it to use in the water yet to determine how sturdy it is or how well it functions.

Pros
  • Gets me where I am going
Cons
  • Difficult to adjust the length of the paddle

Why I Like My Abahub SUP Paddle

I bent the original aluminum Wavestorm SUP paddle that came with my Wavestorm SUP. I knew I wanted carbon fiber instead of aluminum to prevent this from happening again. I first searched customer reviews. I wanted to spend less than $100 on a paddle. I was also looking for a blue paddle to match the current SUP that I have. This paddle fit all my criteria with a couple unexpected bonus features. It had good customer reviews, was less than $100, and the swirled white in the blue was an added…

Pros
  • CARBON SHAFT: The carbon composite shaft contributes to the lightweight of the whole paddle. It’s stiff yet with certain flexibility required to maintain better performance and protect the shaft from breaking under extreme powerful stroke. The ergonomic and patterned PP handle grip increases traction and comfort for the hand.
Cons
  • May cause strain on the wrists

Great Value! Nice Paddle.

I’m giving it five stars because it’s perfect for my intermediate ability. It can be broken down to three pieces and it comes with a nice bag for transport. It is lightweight and does float. I really like the marbled blue graphics which make it easy to find in the water. My husband paid waaay more for his paddle but I like mine best. Definitely a great value.

Pros
  • ‎Carbon Fiber + Fiberglass
Cons
  • May be too long or too short for some users

Light easy but broke.

Love the lightness, feel, and blade for flat water paddling. First time surfing waist high waves today and broke. The blade sunk to the bottom of the ocean. Should have bought the protection plan and only ordered it middle of July. 🤷‍♂️🏄🏼‍♂️🌊

Pros
  • Super Lightweight and stable. Made my experience 10x better.
Cons
  • May not float evenly in water, causing an imbalance

Good value and paddle

Arrived promptly, easy to put together. Works well. Great to use while paddling fast. Comes with a sturdy bag It broke as soon as I tried using in the river.... awful.

Pros
  • It's a paddle. it works. i guess it was a good deal for what it is.
Cons
  • It broke as soon as I tried using in the river.... awful

Wonderful value. for my opinion

Love it! So much lighter and comfortable to paddle than the one that came with my ISUP. The bag is great and the paddle breaks down into a very compact unit.

Pros
  • Very light weight! Easy to assemble! Seems like a durable product.
Cons
  • Fragile, easily prone to breakage

Great quality! Best price! Works great!

Really like this paddle. Did a lot of research, settled on this, and it was a great decision. High quality, lightweight. Awesome price. The case that came with it is really nice, and other brands charge high dollar for it . I am a avid paddle boarder, and have already used it several times. Very happy!

Pros
  • ‎Abahub
Cons
  • Does not have a soft grip for extra comfort

Screw arrived stripped

Really light paddle. Only problem is one of the screws for the clamp to hold the handle part is stripped and cant be tightened or loosened. Not a problem right now but if the other screw doesnt stay tight this will be a problem

Pros
  • Water Sports
Cons
  • May not offer proper buoyancy in deep waters

Broke after 5 uses on my review.

I’ve only used this paddle 5 times and it broke during the 5th use. The 3rd pieces that adjusts to a paddler’s height no longer holds with the clasp closed. The paddle is not sturdy and heavy.

Pros
  • solidly built ease to put together. nice case
Cons
  • Lack of customization options

Rock solid, light, handles well

It is solid, light, easy to use and feels quality, my last paddle the blade snapped after minimal use, this feels stronger

Pros
  • Nice quality. Love the storage bad that comes with it.
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all stand-up paddleboards

Sweet paddle: my feedback

I was just able to use this for the 1st time over this weekend! It is pretty light weight and handles nicely. I am only 5’3” so it would be great if it adjusted a bit shorter. Fairly easy to assemble, I am worried that over time this will become increasingly difficult because of the little ball snap attachment. But! So far so good!

Pros
  • Great quality.
Cons
  • Not suitable for racing or competitive events

It's okay best in my review

You get what you pay for you're happy with a 200 plus paddle but you're going to cry and you drop or lose it / this one is okay it the carbon didn't rub off on you're hands and sting / wear gloves

Pros
  • Very happy with my new paddle! Great Quality and value for the price. Highly recommend!
Cons
  • Not ideal for all body types and sizes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great size for travel in case

The shape is great! I love being able to size the paddle and also take apart and store in a bag for travel. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Seems very lightweight
Cons
  • Expensive, with many other similar products being more affordable

Cannot DISASSEMBLE! Takes a lot of effort!

The WORST dissemble process. Requires two very strong people to twist and pull apart. Top adjustable handle works well and comes apart easily. Buyer beware. Either look for another or oil the sections that click together!

Pros
  • We are new to SUP'ing and so far really like the paddle
Cons
  • Slippery grip, lacks necessary traction
