It deadens noise very well for its modest thickness!

Can't fault this product! Considering it's fairly thin, I was very pleasantly surprised at how effectively it deadens the sound of a powerful fan. Adheres directly to the fan housing and even the flexible duct. A very good product at a very good price.

good investment - body

Bought a package to see what the setup would look like and to see how much more Ford E250 Van needs to be completed. Another review said put it in the sun to soften the adhesive and make it easier to remove the backing paper. Do it, it really works. Measure seven times, cut once, and scissors work best. I didn't have much trouble installing it myself. The effect of sound and temperature was immediate. Initially pleased with the product and calculates only 2 packs are needed to complete the…

Cheaper isn't always better

Used over my Kilmat and Noico muffler. This product is easy to apply, but the paper you peel off is difficult to remove and keeps tearing. If it were rolled instead of folded you might not have this problem. Once it's lowered and a little pressure is applied it won't rise without ripping the foam layer off the aluminum top, so make sure it's where you want it the first time! I would probably not buy this product again. I think I'd just buy the red Noico 315mil foam instead.

It's very sticky: Body

I purchased about 21 ft² of this material for a project to make the roof of my Ford car. It was enough to do what I needed and seemed to work pretty well. We live in Florida during the hot summer months, I've definitely checked it out and there is a noticeable difference in the car after leaving it with this product. It also helps during the day when you're in the car and not letting the heat in, when you don't want your car air conditioner to lower the temperature after you've left your car in

A bit awkward to use, an assistant would be nice.

I used this to replace the insulation under the hood of a pickup truck. A rodent entered the factory insulation and destroyed the ceiling. I washed and rinsed the underside of the hood with detergent. After drying I installed this blanket. It worked well. I laid the old torn insulation on top of the new blanket and roughly cut out the shape. Since I was working alone, I split the new blanket into two parts for easier handling. However, it took careful handling to get it to the bottom of the…

(UPDATED) Pleasantly surprised

Update 12/01/2020: This stuff is still sticking to the old fiberglass on the boat! Since I didn't have much left, I also leveled the mower's engine bay (being careful to avoid direct contact with the engine, of course). This is a very nice reduction in engine noise. What else can you glue this thing to? 🤔I was skeptical about the performance of this product but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Used on board boats to reduce engine noise on the 5.0 liter Mercruiser. I wiped the…

Must buy if you are serious about insulation

This product is very well made and definitely high quality. There is some type of string material inlaid in the aluminum base that prevents overstressing and breaking. I found this very helpful with the installation considering I have walked on it and kneeled on it. I've never had a problem with the adhesive tearing. So make sure you know where to put it as you won't be able to pick it up without breaking the foam. I use it to insulate the cardan tunnel and the entire floor of my car, now my…
