Description of 🔧 ABN Harmonic Damper Crankshaft Crank Pulley Socket – Efficient Honda & Acura Remover & Installer Tool

REMOVE & INSTALL CRANK PULLEYS: Use the ABN Harmonic Damper Crankshaft Crank Pulley 50mm Socket with a square 1/2-inch socket driver breaker bar or ratchet (not included) to prevent the harmonic damper pulley from rotating while removing and setting the final torque specification on the pulley bolt; It will make your life easier and you will not risk damaging your engine. VARIOUS APPLICATIONS: For crank bolt removal and installation when servicing your vehicle’s engine, powertrain, water pump, timing belt, or other accessory. COMPATIBLE WITH HONDA & ACURA: Works with any crankshaft pulley that is 6-point and measures 2-1/4-inches (57mm) from point to point; Fits Honda Accord, Civic, CRV, Delsol, Pilot, Element, Ridgeline, Insight, Odyssey, Prelude, and S2000 and Acura CL, Integra, NSX, RL, TL, and Legend (see full product description for engine type and make/model year fitment information). EASY TO USE: 2-inch (50mm) tall hexagonal shape with square 1/2-inch (12.7mm) drive and 1.6-inch (40mm) circular hole that allows for a socket and extension to loosen or tighten pulley bolt; We recommend removing spark plugs when adjusting cams, using a thread lock for crankshaft pulley bolt, using thread anti-seize for plugs, turning crankshaft pulley clockwise two times around and ensure you have TDC, using brake cleaner to clean after disassembly, and cleaning EGR PORTS in the intake manifold. BUILT TO LAST: Constructed from hardened chrome molybdenum steel (CR-MO) with an offset design for ultimate strength and longevity that resists corrosion and rust.

I couldn't make my 2004 Odyssey timing belt without them

This tool did what it was supposed to. Without them I would not have been able to loosen the crankshaft bolt. Although the screw was very tight. I had to heat it up with a flashlight for a minute before it finally came off.

Really good pulley tool Tool

Worked great. Just a warning, this tool is NOT intended for use with the heavy duty 19mm deep head that you attached to your percussion gun to remove the harmonic balancer screw. If you have a regular 19mm deep socket, it will work fine for this tool. Really helps with loosening and tightening the screw.

Solid Honda Harmonic Balancer Remover (Crankshaft Pulley)

This tool was purchased after looking at several options to remove the crankshaft pulley from my 2009 Odyssey to replace the timing belt and water pump. I used a heavy wall/outlet for removal and used this tool primarily for reinstallation. The tool fitted the inner nut of the pulley snugly and held the pulley well while I reinstalled the nut. The price was good and there was no difference between this tool and similar offers.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction

Must for Honda DIY Mechanics

Excellent Quality! For such a low price, I had my doubts about the quality, but was pleasantly surprised. Due to the high torque of the bolt (181 lbf ft), it is nearly impossible to remove the harmonic damper bolt on many Honda vehicles without this tool. Do yourself a favor and buy one and have it ready BEFORE you work on the timing belt. Also, make sure you also have a jack, at least a 20" extension, and a long 1/2" jumper. Otherwise you run the risk of getting into a mechanical rage and…
