Better than lisle

The lisle version is a crescent. This style eliminates any possibility of pinion bolts falling into the timing case, greatly improving safety.

Works perfectly! read review.

Works as it should. I suggest not screwing on the water pump when using it until you attach the gear. It's tight as hell on the frame, so having as much movement and space as possible is worth its weight in gold. GL.

Works best in timing belt tools

I used the crescent type before. I bought this "full circle" tool because in the past timing screws have come loose and this tool fixes that problem. Some reviewers state that the limited space makes it almost or nearly impossible to lock with this part, but if you're using a 10mm semi-deep jack head to drive the screws there's plenty of room.

Perfect for GM 2.4 Also

I ordered this and only used it this week thinking it would be in my tool box but it wasn't. I used it on a 2009 Saturn Vue. Working with GM 2.4 (and 2.2) is terrible. The water pump is hidden between the engine and bulkhead on the passenger side. If you're changing the timing chain at the same time (good luck with that) then you won't need this tool, but if you're just changing the water pump, don't try without this ABN 7097.
