Great quality at a great price.

I like the Absolute Black oval stars. They are high quality, lightweight and the fit and finish are top notch. I put this on my new Specialized EVO and everything about it was perfect. Very happy with this product.

Good upgrade, suitable for cycling

Only one trail so far, but my first impression is good. Went from a 32 ton round to a 30 ton oval on my eagle. My cadence became more natural and my climbing improved. No awkwardness. I find my feet feel fresher the next day.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Small things

Easy install, works

I won't argue about science. I'm 63 years old, I've been skating for two years. I weigh 235 pounds and have some health issues. These are hills I just could never climb, no matter how well I prepared, what gears I chose, etc. Now, out of five hills, I can easily climb four of them in a higher gear than before. Lastly, I now stand up without having to walk on it - so it works for me.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I wasn't sure what to expect but I did find that there was a very small noticeable difference in There's some oval ring feel, but I've found that It handles tough climbs better than an equivalent O-ring. The narrow-wide tooth profiles are well machined and I haven't experienced any chain drop either. I am very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • disappears

It takes some getting used to, but there is a difference!

If you have been driving a round chain for a while, this may seem strange at first. Your stroke count will feel like there's something wrong with the bike, but after a while, especially on big technical climbs, you'll notice an advantage when climbing. The impact gives it a little more power and my legs tire less after climbing big technical hills. Worth trying as it's a cheap upgrade that can give you a small advantage on longer, harder trails. I'm still getting used to it, but I think it's…
