The lower the decibels, the better. That's why AC Infinity's bombast claims 19 decibels. I installed six different decibel apps and ran each a few times. Overall a good product but with a significant problem for my application: I wanted to mount the fan on the back of my media cabinet so that it protrudes into the case as little as possible, i.e. flush with the front of the fan inside the cabinet and the fan housing outside. Attention tent owners This is my third AC Infinity product. I have previously purchased two AC inlet/outlet fans which are great by the way and still in use a year later. My purchase: Infinity AC Dual Fan Wall/Air Panel with switch without controller. My use is to pull cold air out of the room with 3x3 to keep the plants inside at optimal temperature.
