Could easily get 5 stars

I purchased this item to install in our ON-Q media cabinet as the equipment inside was getting hotter than I wanted causing performance issues. This kit comes with many screw options and a zip tie. The most obvious problem is that the grilles aren't actually attached to the bezel! This makes installation almost impossible if you switch to their white faceplate, as the grilles slide back and forth everywhere. I had to purchase the white faceplate separately and reuse the rubber pads from the…

Stop guessing and buy!

I bought this because my first gen PS4 screams all the time when I play. Thought it might help ahead of PS5 release but worth it. I rotated the fans as an open front exhaust. Essentially, this dissipates the heat the PS4 blows out from the back while still drawing in fresh air through the open front. For comparison, I left the set-top box turned off for 24 hours before testing both times. Played online for a whole hour in COD, the temperature is rising very quickly. 3 photos immediately after…

Very good media/entertainment cabinet fan

I installed this fan in the cabinet that sits under the TV in my living room. I have a couple of gaming systems along with all Verizon FiOS hardware, a Blu-ray player, a power strip, and a wireless printer. The biggest source of constant heat is the FiOS hardware. It always heats up and raises the temperature by about 5 degrees Fahrenheit. This is due to several vent holes I drilled in the back of the cabinet. That was before I installed the fans. Installing the fan was pretty easy. The kit…

Quiet Computer Components

I installed it on my desk today to ventilate the cabinet my gaming pc is in. when it is idle. If the case were opened, the computer would completely silence the AIRPLATE. For reference, my computer uses all Noctua fans, which are known to be some of the quietest case fans on the market. I read a review that said something like these fans could be heard in every room of a 1500 square foot house. All I have to say is that the customer either received a defective device or they are grossly…

3 years review is good for computer parts

I bought this system and the single fan system almost 3 years ago, they are installed in my media cabinet and run 24/7 at medium to high speeds depending on where they are in the chain. I clean them when I notice a build up of lint and dust so they get very dirty before I clean them and even then just using a vacuum I never really took them off to really clean them but I do have one few times used a compressed air. once. They plug into a power strip with built in USB adapters and low voltage…

One of the Best Cooling Solutions

After my Xbox One started overheating from being in a very low volume Ikea entertainment center, I realized I needed a cooling solution. I came across these Infinity Conditioners and decided to give them a try. I bought two of these units along with a smart controller and thermometer - a cold air conditioner at the bottom, one for the air outlet at the top and a smart controller at the bottom. Center. It was a bit tricky to cut into the back of the entertainment stand with a drill and saw…

Good quality for the price

I hate reviews of custom installs that don't list their use case. I have a TV stand for my home theater with closed cabinets. The cabinets are sealed fairly well except at the back where there is an oval opening for wires about 15 inches long. In a closet I keep a home theater computer that runs 24/7 for DVR services. It's overkill for a graphics card and processor, but it still heats up the case noticeably, about 15 degrees above ambient idle temperature. On the 2nd shelf I have an Xbox One S…

Not the best choice for cooling equipment

In my experience, this dual fan model is not the best choice for cooling equipment - maybe if you get a large number and group them together. But instead of going this route, there are many other, much more economical alternatives. I was going to return this fan but decided to build a soldering fan for my workbench instead. What I have at the moment is a more or less working prototype that does a reasonable job. While I plan to make a case for my prototype, the attached pictures give a general…
